The appointment of a data protection officer is not legally required, as the conditions under Art. 37 GDPR / Section 38 BDSG are not met.

3. General information on data processing

As a rule, we process personal data of our users only to the extent necessary to provide a functioning website as well as our content and services. The legal bases are in particular Art. 6(1) GDPR (including consent lit. a, performance of a contract lit. b, legal obligation lit. c, legitimate interest lit. f).

4. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. A data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) is in place with this provider.

When you access the website, information is automatically stored in so-called server log files that your browser transmits. These are usually:

• IP address of the requesting device
• date and time of access
• page/file accessed, amount of data transferred
• browser type and version, operating system used
• referrer URL (previously visited page)

Processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6(1) lit. f GDPR to ensure smooth operation and the security of the website. The log files are deleted after 7 days.

5. Contact (contact form, email, phone)

If you contact us via the contact form, by email or by phone, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, email address, phone number, message) in order to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1) lit. b GDPR (where a contractual relationship is being initiated) or lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in answering the enquiry). The data is deleted once it is no longer required for the purpose and no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.

Processing of the contact form

The data submitted via the contact form (name, email address, phone number, message) is processed exclusively on our web space at STRATO GmbH (server location Germany) and delivered to us by email. No transfer to third parties or to third countries takes place. The legal basis is Art. 6(1) lit. a GDPR (your consent via the checkbox) and Art. 6(1) lit. b or lit. f GDPR (handling your enquiry).

6. Processing of applicant and candidate data

As part of our recruitment activities, we process personal data of apprentices and applicants, e.g. contact details, CV, qualifications, certificates, language skills, and residence and visa data. The legal basis is Art. 6(1) lit. b GDPR (carrying out the placement or pre-contractual measures) and, where applicable, Art. 6(1) lit. a GDPR (consent) for sharing data with potential employers.

Where special categories of personal data (e.g. health data in the care sector) are processed, this is done exclusively on the basis of your explicit consent (Art. 9(2) lit. a GDPR).

7. Sharing data with third parties

Your data is transferred to third parties only where necessary to provide our services – in particular to potential employers, authorities (e.g. immigration office, employment agency, recognition bodies), language schools, and to service providers we work with. The basis is the performance of a contract (Art. 6(1) lit. b GDPR) or your consent (lit. a).

8. Data transfers to third countries

Where data is transferred to, or collected from, countries outside the EU/EEA (e.g. applicants' countries of origin), we ensure an adequate level of data protection – for instance through an adequacy decision by the EU Commission, standard contractual clauses (Art. 46 GDPR), or your explicit consent (Art. 49 GDPR).

9. Cookies and analytics

In its current version, this website uses no tracking or analytics cookies and no external marketing services.
